random day

Left my digital camera back at the camp yesterday so here are some random pictures from the last couple of days.

You can't ride your bike on the river front but many people do it anyway.

The house across the work site. During the day, the bottom floor becomes a bar. All we need are some cowboys and we can shoot a western.

Zilly the cat

We've adopted a new addition to the group. Her name is Zilly (short for Brazilly) and she hangs out with us whenever we're home. She looks skinny, but her jungle claws can kill you.

today, the clouds were pretty before the rainforest downpour.

when we turn the corner from our campus' dirt road, this string of pretty (i don't know what you would call it) frilly things greet us before our trek into the center of Santarem.
